You will find several companies or individuals installing network cable. Some will be here today gone tomorrow. Some will have trained technicians and follow National Electric Code rules on low voltage. A few companies will be BICSI members (Building Industry Consulting Service International). BICSI helped in development and design for information technology systems such as ANSI/EIA/TIA 568B structured cabling system standard. Some will have the proper test equipment to certify Category 5,5E &6 cables and produce printed results of test and some will not. A un tested uncertified  category 6 cable may not run any higher speed than a less expensive category 5 cable. You as the customer will not know until you try to run high speed data. The cost to fix the problems from a uncertified cable can be greater than the original install. 5 Rivers Communications Inc. always follows National Electric Code. We are BICSI members.  We have the proper test equipment to certify category 5, 5E, & 6 cables and can print test results. Our cable and jacks have a life time warranty.
